Starting February 1, Ukrainians wishing to receive microgrants to start or grow their businesses will be able to apply to participate in the first round of the “Vlasna Sprava” government entrepreneurship support program this year. This was announced by Economy Minister Yulia Sviridenko. According to her, microgrants are currently the most popular initiative within the “єРобота” program.
In 2022, 3,300 participants received government funding ranging from 50,000 to 250,000 UAH. Based on last year’s results, it was decided to extend this project. The assistance is non-repayable and is intended to revitalize entrepreneurship in the micro, small, and medium-sized business sectors.
In the context of the war, it is essential to create new jobs—especially given that the country has millions of internally displaced persons who have lost their homes and sources of income. On the “Deystviya” portal, you can submit an online application with a detailed description of your business project.
A commission will review the submitted documents and the applicant’s credit history, evaluate the business idea, and then the applicant will undergo an interview at the State Employment Service. A prerequisite for receiving financial support is the creation of 1–2 new jobs. Each round of applications lasts two weeks.
