The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NKREKU) plans to include the issue of raising rates for centralized water supply and centralized wastewater disposal on the agenda of a public hearing in March 2023. This was reported on the NEURC website.
The Commission added that it is considering the possibility of implementing these rate increases in two phases: starting April 1 and July 1, taking into account the approaches outlined in the supporting documentation.
In particular, the draft tariffs for centralized water supply and centralized wastewater disposal have been thoroughly reviewed, and the proposed changes comply with the requirements of current legislation.
“In order to limit the financial burden on consumers while ensuring they receive centralized water supply and centralized wastewater disposal services of adequate quality, the regulator has minimized costs within the tariff structure,” the statement said.
